After years of operating without a public presence, OBSV has recently made the decision to establish a limited public site. What is visible here represents a deliberate and controlled disclosure. Nothing more, nothing less.
We are not affiliated with any government, institution or commercial entity. OBSV is self-governed and operates under its own mandate.
Our mission is to collect, process and preserve information accurately and without interference. The Observer Network documents activity across a broad range of categories including but not limited to conflict, political developments, corruption and events that would otherwise go unrecorded.
All Observer Network activity is managed through Spirit, a proprietary interface engine developed internally by OBSV. The version accessible here is a public subset of a significantly larger system. Spirit has been in continuous development and operation for decades, and underpins all data collection, relay and observer management carried out by the organization.
